Prague Bike Fest 2026

Prague Bike Fest 2026 was a great showcase of how much interest there is in biking in Czechia. It was exciting to see such a wide mix of bikes, brands, disciplines, and people coming together in one place.

One of the highlights was meeting familiar faces from Eurobike and reconnecting with some former colleagues. At the same time, the event created plenty of opportunities to make new connections and start conversations about potential collaborations, which is always one of the most valuable parts of attending events like this.

There were some interesting bikes and components to try as well. Test-riding a few 36-inch bikes was definitely a unique experience, and it was great to get some hands-on time with Shimano’s new wireless mountain-bike drivetrains. The slopestyle and BMX shows also brought a lot of energy to the festival and were among the most entertaining parts of the weekend.

The experience was not without its frustrations, though. The weather was extremely warm, and more easily accessible drinking water would have made a big difference. The test-bike registration system was also unnecessarily complicated: sometimes it did not work, and when it did, most of the available slots were already booked. App here, registration there, another account, another sign-in, why does everything need its own app nowadays? Unfortunately, this meant there was much less actual test-riding than expected.

Despite that, it was still a very enjoyable event. It was nice to see Prague showing so much enthusiasm for bikes, reconnect with people from the industry, discover new ideas, and leave with some promising new connections and collaborations.
