Designblok 2025 (Prague International Design Festival) was such a great and inspiring experience. I discovered so many beautiful projects and exhibitions, and I honestly did not expect Prague to be so full of design.

I was especially glad to be part of Škoda during this time and to see some of the behind-the-scenes work that goes into a major exhibition like the Škoda Vision O. It gave me a completely new appreciation for the scale, detail, and teamwork behind such a presentation.

It was also great speaking with all the exhibitors presenting material samples. As I am currently working on a CMF project, those conversations and samples became especially useful, and I definitely appreciated all the free samples too!

Compared with Dutch Design Week, Designblok felt quite different. There was a lot more walking involved, maybe Prague’s elevation differences had something to do with that ;)

I was particularly inspired by how many projects explored modularity and sustainability, two subjects that are very much in line with my own interests and design approach. Overall, it was a week full of inspiration, valuable conversations, and new ideas.
